Winner at local track for in-form Barrett
It's a long overdue win, he's been chinned twice at Dundalk. The last day in Leopardstown, Luke got the split, did everything right, and just a couple came to beat him. It was a drop in class today. He was coming from a 45-75 and probably the best run of his life. I think he'll go in again as he seems to be improving and fast ground is the key to him. He's a great fun horse for the boys and it's a great result for everyone.
Zola Sakura repels all challengers under Keane
She has improved mentally this season, it has taken her time. She's a very nice filly and got that trip lovely, stepping up today. She loved the ground and she battled for Colin. There should be improvement to come with time, mentally as well. It just took her from two to three to winter well and she's done that. It's job done as she has a nice page and we'll see what there is now and see how she improves. She's rated 72 and I think she's a handicapper at the minute anyway so we'll go with that.
Quick double for Keane as Tazaral impresses
He won nicely and it looked a reasonable maiden beforehand. He has it on the page and it's nice that he's got his act together and he's won well at the line. We've no great plans going forward, we'll see what the handicapper does and see where he slots in over the coming months. He's a fine big horse and hopefully he's the sort of horse that could have a good rest of the season. He's been a bit backward and has taken a long time to come to himself. He's done that nicely and hopefully can continue to do well for the rest of the season.
Beach backers well rewarded
The filly deserved to win, she's been very consistent. She's quite well bred. She's been knocking on the door the last few times. I think that extra furlong helped as it slowed down the pace in the race. She might head to Down Royal now, it's only ten minutes from us at home. She ran here before and came home strongly that day over a mile. We thought then if it had been an extra furlong she would have got there and today's race wasn't that hot. That's her second win now and we're well pleased with her. She's a nice one for the owner, David Adam, who is a great supporter of the yard. We appreciate any result we get these days. It keeps the momentum going and the horses are running well.

Mountain Fox scales new heights for Frank Oakes
He's great and I wish I had a few more, he's the only one I have at the minute, . He worked on Wednesday, Ricky Doyle rode him over seven furlongs and he said 'he'll nearly win for you on Monday'. I said 'that'll do'. I was going to ride him myself but I said I'd get Ricky's opinion as he won on him over hurdles. That was to be his last Flat race as he was going jumping, he's a super leaper and he's crying out for a distance — two or two-and-a-half miles. That might change a bit now! It depends on what the handicapper does now, that's the problem as he only dropped him 4lb in four years. He's only a pony. I ride him out every day myself except on the weekends when my daughter Wendy rides him. I do everything, put the shoes on him, bring him everywhere but sure what else would I be doing at my age?. I turned 80 the other day, that's all. I'm a young 80.
