Hat in the Pink on good ground
O'Brien unsurprised by Kilnockin's 16/1 win
she was a crazy price for a mare who was the best in the race on bumper form. Her saddle slipped at Tipperary and prior to that she wasn't comfortable on the tight inside track at Punchestown. I think she's a very good mare but has had loads of problems behind and Paul Townend, who rode her at Punchestown said she was like riding a bike with square wheels. Adrian (Heskin) said she was hanging the whole way today and I think once she goes left-handed she'll be a stone better. We might look at a novice hurdle at Listowel next month if the ground is ok.
Band records a Bloodless victory
Deserved win for Thekingofconnemara
he deserved that as he has been very consistent and the form of his Leopardstown run (in March) has worked out well. He probably needs this better ground so will be kept on the go and we'll look for a novice or winners of one hurdle next.
Tailors records shock win in staying handicap
He lost his confidence so we put him back in point-to-points and he stayed on well the last day. Roger was very patient on him. They went a really good gallop but he stayed on really well. We'll look for something similar and hopefully he won't get too much of a hike.
Quick double for Nolan as Lill is number One
I was hoping for rain as all her form was on heavy ground. She will be left off now for the summer.
