Emiyna pleases punters
That looked a useful maiden and she's a nice filly. She's shown a lot of speed at home but is bred to get further. She's fairly adaptable ground wise, and will go next for the Athasi Stakes at the Curragh.
Enchanted Evening for Weld/Smullen
She's had a couple of runs on heavy ground this year and seemed to like that surface better. The fitting of blinkers also helped her.
Geoghegan on the mark with Ryan
He's a nice little horse and he'll improve from that as he's inexperienced. Sam said he'll get further. He's had a lot of niggling injuries with a back problem and a splint. He's been working reasonably well, and the main concern was whether he'd handle the surface as he's by Captain Rio. He'll come back here provided he comes out of this fit and well.
Imperial Rome a name to note
He did that very well, and obviously likes it at Dundalk. I planned to run him in the Loughbrown Stakes at the Curragh last Sunday but the ground was too soft. We'll move him up to Stakes level, and hopefully he'll continue to progress.
Lightening strikes for Brabazon
I'm delighted with that as I was hoping over the winter that he would show he's a good horse. He's shown that now, and we'll go for a big handicap at the Curragh on Guineas weekend. Fran said he might handle a stiff seven furlongs but a good mile seems to suit him.
Curtis gets the Max out of Mo
He's had bits of problems including leg trouble. He'll get a mile and a half no problem, and in fact I was going to run him over 1m6f at Leopardstown on Sunday but decided to come here. Ben gave him a good positive ride and knows him well. He's handicapped over hurdles but will stick to the Flat.
