Berry picks up where he left off
It's great to get that done with her for a good patron (John Gildea) who is a very enthusiastic owner,. He owned a good filly a few years ago, Sendmylovetorose, so the colours are well used to the podium.
Danz and Whelan a dream match
No denying Togoville and Smullen
It's up to the boss (owner Patrick McCann) now whether we go on January 2nd (five furlong conditions race at Chelmsford City) for the all-weather championship race over five furlongs,. We'll see how he is in the next couple of days before making a decision.
Captain times his win to perfection
We were looking earlier in the year for a horse like him for Dundalk for the winter and claimed him for €5,000 at Laytown,. He had some reasonable enough runs in good races and had dropped down the handicap. We thought he'd get in to 47-65 handicaps and with a bit of luck would run a few nice races so it's a serious bonus to win here.
Deserved 4th win for Red
He was very unlucky here two runs back and on that run was entitled to be there,.
22/1 Dundalk double for Berry
Fran rode him in Naas and things didn't go to plan. He was very unlucky and hit the front too early,. We all learned a lot from that day and Fran knew him from that. He jumps well but he wants good ground and that's why he likes it here as it's a quick surface. Johnny and Paula Davison (owners) are lovely people to be involved with. Micky Maguire, Jason's father and Adrian's brother is their racing manager. He did a great job with this horse as he was very difficult as a young horse and they had a lot of problems with him.
2 on the polytrack for Whelan
Without being cocky, we expected that. Chris (Hayes) rode her the last night and felt she was well capable of a Listed race. We'll probably put her away now and look at something early next year. She's a very nice filly. We'll play to her handicap mark and work from there.
