Dusty on the Trail at Tramore
It's the horses first run over hurdles this year and Shay [Barry] said he stayed on well but idled a bit in front. He loves the fast ground and we'll see what the handicapper does with him now, he'll probably mix it on the flat and over hurdles for the Summer.
Fahey and Treacy score at Tramore
She had a very good run around here before, so we'll probably try and find something similiar for her a low grade hurdle. It was great that we won with her and maybe we might come back here if there was something for her.
More Claret causes a surprise
County Rocks home for Harty
That was a big relief, I thought the ground might have been a bit quick but they did a great job watering the ground. He'll be a much stronger horse next year and he'll make a lovely chaser. He could handle a cut in the ground also, he just doesn't go on heavy ground.
Barry & Doyle in double form
He's a lovely horse, he came from John Jo O'Neills. He got a grand run up on this inside. He needs good ground so we'll keep him in Novice Chases and the long term aim will be Galway.
Mangan at his best
He is a difficult horse to train but I think we have found the key to him. He was a very decent hurdler and beat the likes of Shirley Casper and Themoonandsixpence but he lost his way after that. He has been showing us plenty at home lately and Patrick's [Mangan] seven pound claim made all the difference.
Porter supplies Redmond with first win
All credit goes to the jockey, I haven't had this horse long and she was very free. Niall [Redmond] did a great job with her and he got her to settle.
