Homebred Maontri gains first win aged seven
she has been difficult to train and has been on and off. She is seven now and it's been a long time to wait since she was a two year old! She did it very well and hopefully the handicapper wont be too hard on her.
Kelly gets off the mark for new boss Halford
Victor's beach had a chance on his run here the last time and Shane did exceptionally well to get him covered up and delivered at the right time. Shane only joined us a few months ago and while I didn't make him any promises, he works very hard and has been a big help to me at home; hopefully that win will help to kick him off.
Hayes completes Dundalk double
it's nice to get a winner on the first meeting of the year. He is what he is he but is also a very popular horse in the yard as he's a great ride. He does two jobs: he's a lead horse during the week and runs on Friday and that'll help to keep the owner (wife Aileen) happy!

he (Papa's Way) is a big eejit still but will make a lovely dual purpose horse. He'd be suited by a slower surface and will stay further; he'll do both jobs and will mix and match.
