May Remain gains third Winter Series win
Fitzgerald - 'Saga Bolton I hardly knew ya'
I only have him five days so it's a quick turnaround for him. Nicola Griffin bought him last week and I got a phone call on Monday to come and collect him. Hopefully he's not claimed now because we're still only learning about him. We could have good fun up here with him because all his form is at Dundalk. If he is claimed we'll pick up another horse for the owner next week again. Rory said he'll get further and could step up again. It's good to get another winner under my belt so quick.

I was itching to get back and it is great to get the win and I'm looking forward to the new season. credit to David Spratt from Gaelic Bloodstock and Phil Byrnes, they bought this horse and told me to be very patient with him. He looked to be a very nice young horse but just fell away with Mr Gosden. They snapped him up relatively cheap (11,000gns last May). It took him a while to learn how to get back racing and doing things right. We tried a hood on him the last day and it seemed to work as well as the tongue-tie. He needed a ride like that to get his confidence back and Donagh was absolutely excellent on him. Hopefully now we can plan a program with him and hopefully there is plenty of winning left in him. He could be an improving horse.
Rutledge has claim reduced on McConnell trained winner
I'm delighted, particularly for Siobhan and the horse. That's Siobhan's 10lb gone now, she's a really good rider and is improving all the time. She's good value for 7lb now. The horse is a little trooper, he's very consistent. She put the stick down close home and we work hard on it together, getting her rhythm and routine right. It's really coming together for her now and I think she has a future. She can do bottom weight, she has a brain as well and gives good feedback. Bellick is a little dinger and is very genuine. He doesn't win by too far but that suits me. He was a cheap yearling and is one of the favourites in the yard so it's great to get another win for him.
Lightning Charlie wins finale for Feane
he's not with us that long and Robbie said he picked up well. He was rated higher in England in the past. They went quick and it fell in his lap, that was the way it worked out. He was a bit keen at home and in his races so we fired the eye shields on him just for a change, to steady him up a little bit.
