Get Smart in control for Mullinses
I'm delighted with that and he is improving the whole time. He might be a horse for some of those lower novices. How good a race it was, I don't know but he is not doing anything wrong and is improving away. He is owned by an Italian man Daniel Furini who has mares with George Williams and he asked me would I take him.
I Will Follow lands Wexford gamble
he had three runs in the winter and I thought he'd handle soft ground but he didn't. It was a pleasant surprise in Roscommon that he handled the better ground and I'm glad he has progressed from there. I don't know how good he is but he has won now and it is a stepping stone to somewhere else. He stays well, jumps well and is a summer easy ground horse rather than a winter heavy ground horse. He likes a nice level track and there might be a race for him in Listowel in September.
Milestone gains maiden win at Wexford
I think we might look at Galway now.
Market's Field on target at Wexford
He got a lovely waiting ride from Donie. He was disappointing over hurdles so we said we'd crack on with him over fences. I think the race fell apart a bit with those two fallers (the aforementioned favourite and Theatre Wine). He is a big Stowaway horse and I think the ground probably played into his hands. He will definitely go on winter ground.
Square continues to belie his years
That was super. He is some horse. That's twice now that I've been wrong with the ground. The ground had dried again on his last two runs, and when things are happening too quick for him he is too old to keep going. But when it's that bit softer, things are slowed down, he loves it and is able to operate better in it. Obviously he loves here as well, he is after winning three here, left-handed and right-handed! . We had thoughts of retiring him but they will be put on hold now. He won't go on winter ground, but there is still plenty of races for him. I think there is a 0-102 back here in the coming months. He is after winning six races and he is a fabulous horse to have. There is nothing for him at Galway. I took a chance with him today because there was a small entry. Rachael gave him a fantastic ride, she did exactly what I told her to do.
