Winner goes unclaimed in Dundalk's opener
she has ability, was placed before and I thought she ran well in a three-year-old handicap in Leopardstown last year. She got jarred up towards the end of last year and we just had to give her a holiday. It came together today and we put her in if someone wants her as we have to keep moving them on. We'll see what happens.
McConnell frustrated by Rutledge suspension
you can see Higher Kingdom is quirky, he is going diagonally up the straight. He doesn't find a lot for whip, he's more a hands and heels ride but has ability and obviously stays this trip. It was a really good ride and, unfortunately, Siobhan has got nine days for the whip last week. Really when you look at nine days at this time of year, it isn't really fair. The crime doesn't justify the punishment and the powers that be need to have a look at separating things between the all-weather and the turf. Nine days in May is a big difference to nine days here - for something a couple of smacks over the limit in a tight finish. I think she is suspended until the turf season starts - it is more than a month, which is very frustrating for her and very frustrating for me. I don't think there are any grounds for an appeal because they are the rules as they stand. Even if she could defer it or something like that, basically she will be denied her living for six or seven weeks. That can't be right for the crime.

Song For Whoever wins impressively
Song For Whoever is improving with each run and I'm looking forward to giving him a little bit of time now and just aiming at the turf. He's done his job so far. He has come into the race very cleanly there and quickened up as you would like. He has put distance between a couple of winners which is great and Billy said he is professional. He rode him over seven (furlongs, in October) and suggested going back in trip. I probably misread his debut, he was a bit green and was learning on the job. He has shown he is a quick horse and is getting more professional.
Locally trained Hero Of The Hour wins Dundalk's finale
he deserved it, he's had issues and a few injuries and we had to be careful but had more than enough ability to do that. Blinkers made him focus. The last day he should have challenged and he just rolled in behind a horse. I thought there is more to it than that and said we'd go with the blinkers. With most horses, but especially him, I like them dropped in and hope they go fast up front. It turned out to suit as he challenged early enough and stayed well. I had different things going on, have four or five riding out, two for breaking and don't have many runners.
