Plan comes off for Dark Spark
He's a horse that is now getting stuck into the pot and eating. He just wasn't eating enough but lately he seems to have settled down. He won his bumper here so we said we'd go back and chance it. He won well. We said we'd take the 7lb off him because he was carrying a penalty and he did it well there. On his old form he was entitled to do it but there are no guarantees. He jumped great and he'll make a fine chaser in time.
Apple Crumble a sweet winner for Fitzgerald
She's a nice filly and probably got caught for inexperience at Ballinrobe the last day but she was sharp today and had the weight allowance,. She's a nice mare to go forward with. The iron opened on Jack but he got it back. I've nothing picked out at the moment for her but hopefully we can find something nice again. The lads that own her (P G C Syndicate) will be looking to breed off her in time so it would be great to pick up some black-type.
Bonnie back with a bang at Kilbeggan
She's a good mare. She just went off form as she was in season consistently and I couldn't get her cycle right,. I knew coming here she had a serious chance. It's her third win here and she likes the place, she'll win again here.
My Immortal off the mark for Connell
He won a point-to-point and was probably unlucky not to win a bumper,. He was beaten in a photo finish before so I'm delighted to get the verdict there. He jumped well in the main and I'd say he's going to be a nice horse going over a fence. Hopefully he'll be eligible for a handicap mark now and we'll see what kind of a rating he gets. We could head to Listowel or something like that. He's not a winter horse. He had to end up coming in on the worst of the ground on the inside there which wasn't ideal. He's a light framed horse and definitely wouldn't want Naas or Navan in the middle of winter. We'll keep him going until the ground goes bad and then we'll have a go next summer with him. It's nice to get that job done.
Arctic Light shines brighter than Light Bulb
Quick double for Walsh on Castle
Ryan and Cooper seal brace with Fairyhill Run
She is what we know she is — a lovely mare,. We'll be looking to better things with her, whether she goes for a graded race or maybe the Kerry National. We also have Waitnsee going for that race and they are two lovely mares to have. I don't know what she'll be rated after today but she's a proper mare. She'll probably go for a graded race.
Acleanpairofhooves wins after a long duel
He's a project, he came to us very late. He has a smart Flat pedigree but we said we'd go down this route first because he was a little bit buzzy and we said we'd let him relax. He'll probably end up on the Flat. He's a smart little horse, he'd hate that ground tonight and he was very brave. He improved a lot from the last day and was given a terrific ride. It's always a terrific ride when they win and terrific training performance as well!. We'll let him have a break now, fill up again and go from there.
