Mahler Ten one for Meade and Flanagan

We thought he was alright but we thought a run might just put him right. He's belonging to Robert Watson and he sort of said he would like him to run in Down Royal, so I thought that was where he was going to go but he would have a bit of experience, because I thought he wants further than two miles so we might be going for the two mile six hurdle there. He was able to win so there will be other races he can run in. He has a nice pedigree, he is a half brother to a couple of decent horses and hopefully he is a nice horse. They are running well, we won't complain! He's another of Martin Cullinan's specials, he has been a lucky man for me to buy off. Hopefully he'll go on from there.

Shek O Lad and Kane tough it out

It wasn't a surprise, his run in Ballinrobe was very good the last day and last year when he made it a few times he was third a couple of times. It took time I suppose and lots of little niggles but sure he is our own. We'll keep him going over the winter, he seems to go on soft ground. He's a good jumper. Brien gave him a smashing ride, he's a good lad. He's a quiet rider, I like that.

Chaser in making Boy lands maiden hurdle

He's a big chaser in the making. Whatever he does this year will be a bonus. We'll probably find a little winners' race somewhere for him and he'll be okay. I'd say chasing will be his game and he's a big honest horse.
