Barbaha Queen scores under Shinnick
The ground was a bit soft for her at Ballinrobe and she was suited by coming back here on decent ground. Her dam was a sister to Savello who was quite a good horse and there is lots in her pedigree. She is decent and will now go for a nice novice hurdle.
Condon rides first winner for Elliott
Gotthenod got the trip
It is great to get another winner for Tommy (Ward) and she has been a very consistent filly and has hit form again. She won well in Kilbeggan and things didn't go right for her the last day when she made a very bad mistake. She handled the ground well, the step up in trip was no problem and at that level is competitive. We'll keep her going and she could also jump a fence. I'm delighted to give Tom (Harney) a winner as he is my right-hand man and is with me a long time.
Callaghan shines again on Bacardys
Cornerkova scores for De Bromhead & Brassil
she seems to have come on and Rachael (Blackmore) was delighted with her in Limerick and felt she'd be way better over fences than what she had done over hurdles. We were hoping that she would and it is great to see it and I'm delighted for the Cloud Nine Syndicate and Conor (Brassil). She is a lovely mare and has handled quicker summer ground in the past.
95/1 Clonmel chase brace for de Bromhead
Two winners in two days for Pat Foley
The same as last night (with winner Yerwanthere), we were expecting a big run but wouldn't have been disappointed if she was beaten as she is still green. Hopefully she will improve again from this and is a very honest mare. She is not overly big but what she lacks in height, she makes up in heart. If a winners' bumper came up she might run in it but more than likely she will go jumping. She is not overly big but we'll see how she comes out of it and how much she improves. We didn't get a run into her before she ran the first day but Bernard McMahon, the head of the syndicate, sadly passed away and she ran on his month's mind at Punchestown. Only for Bernard, who was from Meath, she wouldn't have been here today and I'm delighted she has won for the syndicate.
