Permission was given for Bedford Flyer (IRE) to be mounted in the chute and go early to post wearing a red hood, for Miss Attitude (GB) to wear a red hood to post, and for Existent (GB) to be mounted in the chute.
Passing 1 furlong out, True Promise (GB), placed fifth, hung badly right-handed despite its riders best efforts, inconveniencing Bedford Flyer (IRE), unplaced, which was also hanging right-handed independently and resulted in the gelding being moved into the path of Glorious Angel (IRE), unplaced, which had to be checked off its heels.
But after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of True Promise (GB).
Following the race, Lewis Edmunds reported that Bedford Flyer (IRE), unplaced, hung badly right handed, and Callum Shepherd reported that Moon Flight (IRE), placed fourth, hung right handed.
