Permission was given for Lockdown (GB) to wear a hood in the Parade Ring only, go early to post and be mounted in the chute and East Street Revue (GB) to go early to post.
An enquiry was held to consider the unruly behaviour of Second Collection (GB), which had been very reluctant to go to post, having to be led riderless to the start and causing the race to be significantly late off.
Hollie Doyle and the representative of Tony Carroll were interviewed and shown recordings of the incident.
As the mare had also been reluctant to be mounted and go to the start at Windsor on 28 August 2021, the representative of Carroll was informed that any future similar behaviour from Second Collection (GB) may result in the mare being reported to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority.
At the final furlong marker, the winner, Ava Go Joe (IRE), shifted slightly left-handed, causing Ehrmann (IRE), placed sixth, to be switched off heels and the rider of Flying Pursuit (GB), unplaced, to take a check, but after viewing a recording of the incident it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Ava Go Joe (IRE).
The performance of Lezardrieux (GB), which started second favourite and finished unplaced, was considered.
Grant Tuer’s explanation that the gelding ran flat and had lost its left-fore shoe was noted.
Following the race, Thore Hammer Hansen reported that World Of Windhover (IRE), unplaced, was denied a clear run just inside the 2 furlong marker.
The Veterinary Officer reported that Lockdown (GB), unplaced, lost its right-hind shoe and The Princes Poet (GB), unplaced, lost its right-fore shoe.
