Permission was given for Ciotog (IRE) and Distinguished Lady (FR) to wear a red hood to post and for Blue Hero (CAN) to go early to post.
The Stewards wished to hold an enquiry into possible interference rounding the first bend involving Celtic Empress (GB), unplaced, ridden by Jack Mitchell, the winner, Master Of Combat (IRE), ridden by Rossa Ryan, Distinguished Lady (FR), unplaced, ridden by David Probert, New Dayrell (GB), unplaced, ridden by Lewis Edmunds and Hale End (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Clifford Lee, but were unable to do so as David Probert had left the course.
They adjourned their enquiry to a date to be confirmed.
Rounding the home bend, a strong travelling Lucky San Jore (GB), placed fifth, was edged right-handed to avoid the heels of a weakening Distinguished Lady (FR), unplaced, which was also hanging right- handed, causing the winner, Master Of Combat (IRE), to be briefly tightened for room, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching 1 furlong out involving Glory Nights (IRE), placed second, ridden by Sean Levey and New Dayrell (GB), unplaced, ridden by Lewis Edmunds.
Rossa Ryan, the rider of the winner, Master Of Combat (IRE), was interviewed but found not to be involved.
Levey was cautioned for careless riding as he had taken insufficient steps to prevent his mount from drifting left-handed across New Dayrell (GB) when not fully clear, causing Edmunds to steady when briefly tightened for room.
An enquiry was held to consider interference just inside the 1-furlong marker involving the winner, Master Of Combat (IRE), ridden by Rossa Ryan, New Dayrell (GB), unplaced, ridden by Lewis Edmunds and Ciotog (IRE), unplaced, ridden by George Rooke.
Ryan was suspended for 3 days for careless riding as he had manoeuvred his mount right-handed, when insufficiently clear hampering New Dayrell (GB) which was carried off its intended line and moved into the path of Ciotog (IRE), which had to be checked by its rider.
Following the race, Trevor Whelan reported that Notability (IRE), unplaced, was slowly away and never travelling.
