He's a grand wee horse. He's always there or thereabouts and has been running well all year. He's been beaten a head and a short-head a few times,. It was quite simple today. The Stewards received a report from Ms Joan Taylor, Turf Club Veterinary Officer, that she was unable to positively identify Burren View Lady, trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, from the markings contained in the passport presented for this horse. Evidence was heard from the trainer who stated that he was of the belief that a new staff member had mistakingly sent the wrong horse to this meeting which had similar marking to Burren View Lady. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Burren View Lady and referred the matter to the CEO of the Turf Club.

Penalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner to carry 5lb extra for each race won Any horse rated above 80 shall initially be treated as having that rating and the highest weight allotted shall be 10st. Subsequently, the excess over 80 in any rating shall be added to the weight allotted to that horse.
