The Stewards enquired into possible interference between the final two hurdles involving Wild Shot (GB), ridden by S. Fitzgerald, placed second and Perfect Attitude (GB), ridden by D.N. Russell, placed first, where it appeared that contact was made between both horses. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. S. Fitzgerald stated that Perfect Attitude (GB) had run green and possibly intimidated his own mount who in turn had veered toward the winner. D.N. Russell stated that his mount had jammed on when hitting the front and ran very green by running both to the left and the right. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judges placings and took no further action
C.M. Quirke, rider of Dare To Flare trained by Andrew Slattery, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount met with interference when racing down the hill
D.N. Russell, rider of Perfect Attitude (GB) trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran very green in the closing stages
R.A. Doyle, rider of Dardedze trained by Leonard Paul Flynn, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount tried to refuse the first hurdle
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Mahlers Dollar, trained by Terence O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal. Samples were taken for analysis.
