I thought the ground had gone yesterday for him when I seen the heavens open and was thinking of not running. He hadn't run in three months though so I thought I'd give him a run. He might go to Listowel now as long as it doesn't go too heavy. He could go back over fences then. He hasn't really been taking on his fences but he's a good jumper when he meets them right. D.E. Splaine, rider of Knockrea trained by Terence O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a respiratory noise. The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Minella Berry, trained by John E. Kiely, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be Post Race Normal.

An extended handicap hurdle for four yrs old and upwards (130 = 11st 10lb)
Weights - Top weight in the original handicap shall; not be less than 11st 10lb
Penalties - Winner of a hurdle race after calculation of the handicap to carry 4lb extra for each hurdle race won. Any horse rated above 130 shall initially be treated as having that rating and the highest weight allotted shall be 11st 10lb. Subsequently, the excess over 130 in any rating shall be added to the weight allotted to that horse. (For the purpose of this note, any four year old rated above 130 shall have the applicable weight for age allowance then prevailing deducted from the horse's rating prior to the original calculation of the handicap)
