A shock here with 25/1 shot Oh Jackie landing the spoils. She was tenacious, seeing off the challenge of Wonderkid in good style.
The mare had shown a liking for the course when a decent fifth in a three-mile contest here last season but this was a significant improvement on anything she had shown previously.
She had warmed up for this when dead heating in a moderate winners' race 'between the flags'.
Wonderkid was held up as usual and crept into it. He came to lead in the straight but had no answer when the mare battled back.
A New Story was under pressure from three out but started to stay on well in the closing stages without getting at the leaders.
Freneys Well couldn't go with the leaders from two out before staying on again in the closing stages while Industrious kept on one pace from three out to finish a moderate fifth.
The race was robbed of some of it's lustre with morning favourite Garde Champetre withdrawn due to the ground. Killeaney was lame.
