Ballyellis (IRE) wore earplugs throughout the race.
Following concerns raised by the riders at the start regarding the low sun obscuring their vision at the flights in the home straight, the Stewards consulted with the Clerk of the Course and ordered that these obstacles should be by-passed for this race.
The apparent improvement in form of the winner, North Star Oscar (IRE), which had never previously been placed, was considered.
Warren Greatrex was interviewed.
His comments that the gelding had perhaps benefitted from the application of the first-time hood was noted.
An enquiry was held to consider why there appeared to be a section of running rail missing at the crossing from the Parade Ring onto the course.
The Clerk of the Course and Estates Manager were interviewed.
Their evidence was noted and a report forwarded to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority.
