S.W. Flanagan, rider of Tea It Is, trained by Vincent Carroll, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left throughout
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident after the second last hurdle involving Ceanndana, ridden by K.M
Donoghue, placed first, and Tea It Is, ridden by S.W. Flanagan, unplaced, where it appeared interference took place. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence S.W. Flanagan stated that his mount was hanging left and he was forced to check from behind Ceanndana after the second last. K.M. Donoghue stated that his mount jumped right at the second last hurdle and he was returning to his racing line on the inside. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Sheephaven Flyer, trained by Henry de Bromhead, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
An extended handicap hurdle for four years old and upwards rated 80-95
Penalties - Winner of a hurdle race after calculation of the handicap shall carry 7lb extra for each hurdle race won.
