Permission was given for Ornate (GB) to go early to post and for Buniann (IRE) to be mounted on the course and go early to post.
Approaching the final furlong, Ballyare (GB), placed second, hung left giving Miss Nay Never (IRE) a bump, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Ballyare (GB).
The performance of Miss Nay Never (IRE) which finished unplaced, was considered.
The representative of John Quinn could offer no explanation for the mare’s performance.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of Miss Nay Never (IRE) during routine testing failed to reveal any abnormalities.
Following the race, Hollie Doyle reported that Outrage (GB), placed fifth, was outpaced in the early stages.
Frederick Larson reported that Night On Earth (IRE), placed fourth, ran too free.
