The Stewards enquired into an incident leaving the back straight involving Vocarium, ridden by Mr R. Deegan, placed second and Ainsi Va La Vie (FR), ridden by Mr P.W. Mullins, placed first. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that Mr.R.Deegan was in breach of Rule 214, in that he rode carelessly and having considered his record, suspended him for two race days.

An I.N.H. flat race for four, five, six and seven yrs old that have not won a *race other than one or two I.N.H. flat races or National Hunt flat races or a combination of such races
Weights - 4-y-o 11st 2lb; 5, 6 & 7-y-o 11st 7lb; Mares allowed 7lb
Penalties - Winner of an I.N.H. flat race or a National Hunt flat race 7lb extra; Of two such races 10lb extra
Riders - Qualified under I.N.H.S. Rules. Professional under I.N.H.S Rules (other than Apprentices) who have not lost the right to claim the 7lb allowance under Rule 52 (iii) (up to and including 2nd August) may also ride in this race.
