An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the bend down the back straight on the final circuit when Jeu De Mots (FR), placed third, ridden by Lilly Pinchin interfered with Rebel Royal (IRE), which later fell, ridden by Page Fuller.
Pinchin was cautioned for careless riding as she angled her mount left when insufficiently clear of Rebel Royal (IRE) causing Fuller to take a slight check.
Miss Eleanor Williams, the rider of Storm Arcadio (IRE), placed fifth, had appeared to not ride out fully to the winning post, before being beaten by a neck margin.
After being interviewed and shown recordings of the incident, Williams’s explanation that Unique Company (IRE) had already passed her before being ridden in a less vigorous manner for the final two strides on the run to the line, was noted.
Following the race, Miss Eleanor Williams reported that Storm Arcadio (IRE), placed fifth, jumped right throughout and was never travelling; the Veterinary Officer further reported that the gelding lost its left fore shoe.
