Permission was given for Gurkha Friend (GB) and Fennaan (IRE) to go to post early.
Gurkha Friend (GB) refused to leave the parade ring and had to be re-routed on an alternative route out via the pre-parade ring before consenting to go to post.
Karen McLintock was interviewed and informed that any future similar behaviour from the gelding may result in him being reported to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority.
The Starter reported that Gurkha Friend (GB) was very reluctant to enter the stalls, and then refused to race once the start had been effected, and was therefore deemed to be a runner.
Karen McLintock was informed that the gelding could not run until the day after passing a stalls test.
Following the race, Kevin Stott reported that Knighted (IRE), unplaced, slipped on the bend turning into the home straight.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the gelding failed to reveal any abnormalities.
Jane Elliott reported that Kripke (IRE), placed fifth, was hampered by the slipping of Knighted (IRE), turning into the home straight.
