The Stewards interviewed T. Ryan, rider of Dedanann, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that he had used his whip excessively and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that T. Ryan was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record they cautioned him on this occasion

D.E. Mullins, rider of The Dara Man trained by John Patrick Ryan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel. This was subsequently confirmed by the I.H.R.B Veterinary Officer.
