The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages of this race involving Goa Gajah (USA), ridden by M.P. Sheehy, placed second, Lord Massusus, ridden by G.F. Carroll, placed third, Panic Alarm, ridden by S. Foley, placed first, and Encosta, ridden by C.T. Keane, placed fourth, where it appeared that Encosta ran short of room and had to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. M. P. Sheehy stated that his mount had hung but felt he had maintained his line. G. F. Carroll stated that his mount was intimidated by the horse on his outer. S. Foley stated that his mount moved left when he hit the front. C. T. Keane stated that his race was run and he took a precautionary check. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that while there had been unintentional interference, no horse had improved its finishing position as a result of this interference so they made no alteration to the Judge’s placings and took no further action.
For two years old only that are EBF eligible and which had been purchased as yearlings or as two year olds at Public Auction under the hammer after 1st July, 2021 for #72,000 or less at a designated or specified sale and which have run in or been declared and balloted from at least one race in the Irish EBF Auction Series
