Donoghue, rider of Minellafordollars, pulled up on landing over the second last fence in relation to their reason for attempting to jump this fence when their respective mounts appeared to be very tired. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Both riders stated that they were satisfied that their mounts could jump the fence and were in contention for place prize money. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that the riders had not breached any Rules on this occasion but reminded both riders to ride with more awareness in the future as the outcome for both horses at the second last fence did not make for good viewing

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Laid Back Luke, trained by Ms. Sheila Lavery, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race

H. Morgan, rider of Alohamora trained by J.A. Nash, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled during this race before being pulled up

C.D. Maxwell, rider of Ned Stark trained by Sarah Dawson, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled during this race before being pulled up

R.C. Colgan, rider of Laid Back Luke trained by Ms. Sheila Lavery, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount gurgled at the top of the hill and pulled up soon after

Following a request from broadcasters, the Stewards granted permission for the following delays: Race 3; +1 minute Race 5; +2 minutes

An extended handicap steeplechase for five years old and upwards (116 = 11st 10lbs)
Weights - Top weight in the original handicap and after the time of declaration shall not be less than 11st 10lbs and the minimum weight shall not be less than 9st 12lbs
Penalties - Winner of a steeplechase after calculation of the handicap shall carry 5lb extra for each steeplechase won.
