He was a good two-year-old with a rating of 110, and I thought he'd progressed well over the winter. I'll have to speak to Sheikh Hamdan and Angus Gold but I will encourage them to run him in the Irish 2,000 Guineas. Pat didn't have to be hard on him, and that will set him up nicely for two weeks time.

The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the straight involving Penitent (GB), ridden by D. Tudhope, unplaced, One Spirit, ridden by G.F. Carroll, placed third, Pearl Of Africa, ridden by F. Lynch, placed fifth and Pop Art, ridden by F.M. Berry, placed fourth, where it appeared that Pearl Of Africia ran short of room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the judge's placings and took no further action.
