Permission was given for Finn Russell (IRE) to wear a red hood to post.
Leaving the stalls, Flatley (GB), unplaced, jumped left-handed bumping Kaaranah (IRE), unplaced, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
An enquiry was held to consider interference entering the first bend when Green Power (GB), placed third, ridden by Joshua Bryan, interfered with Finn Russell (IRE), placed fifth, ridden by Billy Loughnane.
The interference was found to be accidental as Green Power (GB) hung left-handed, despite Bryan’s best efforts, into the path of Finn Russell (IRE) causing the gelding to clip heels.
An enquiry was held to consider interference entering the first bend when Prince Ali (GB), unplaced, ridden by Joe Leavy, interfered with LOCKED N’ LOADED, unplaced, ridden by Alistair Rawlinson.
Being a 7lb claimer, Leavy was offered accompaniment but declined.
Leavy was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he allowed his mount to shift left-handed when insufficiently clear causing Rawlinson to take a check.
Following the race, Harry Burns reported that Kaaranah (IRE), unplaced, ran too free, Harry Davies reported that Goldsmith (IRE), unplaced, ran too free, Joshua Bryan reported that Green Power (GB), placed third, hung left-handed, and Alistair Rawlinson reported that Locked N' Loaded (GB), unplaced, ran too free.
