Having reviewed the start, the Stewards were satisfied that Storm Asset (GB) had unseated its rider when leaving the stalls, after the start had been effected, and was deemed to be a runner.

An enquiry was held following a report from the Starter that on first press of the button, the stalls failed to open, but on immediately pressing it again, the start was successfully effected.

Having heard evidence from the Clerk of the Course and the Starter, their explanations were noted.

Millie Wonnacott, the rider of Storm Asset (GB), was unseated leaving the stalls.

After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that the incident was accidental and caused by Storm Asset (GB) rearing as the gates opened, causing Wonnacott to bang her head on the top of the stalls and be unseated.

Approximately 3 furlongs out, the rider of Kodi Noir (IRE), placed second, took evasive action off the heels of the loose horse, causing the rider of Mitigator (GB), placed fifth, to have to check off its heels and in turn causing Safe Passage (GB), placed fourth, to be checked off the heels of Mitigator (GB) which caused Star Map (GB), unplaced, to become unbalanced and give a slight bump to Mr Trick (IRE), unplaced, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and it had not improved the placing of any runner.

Following the race, Dylan Hogan, the rider of Mitigator (GB), placed fifth, and Billy Loughnane, the rider of Star Map (GB), unplaced, reported that their mounts were hampered by the loose horse.
