The Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference inside the final one hundred yards involving Kortez Bay, ridden by R.C. Colgan, placed fourth, and Temple Of Hera, ridden by W.J. Lee, placed third, where it appeared that Temple Of Hera manoeuvred right into the path of Kortez Bay. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, R.C. Colgan stated that his mount was beaten at the time when he shied from Temple Of Hera. W.J. Lee stated that his mount ran green, changed leads and rolled to the right when the rider changed his hands Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards made no alteration to the Judges placings and took no further action

W.J. Lee, rider of Temple Of Hera, trained by M.D. O'Callaghan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount switched his lead and rolled a bit to the right in the closing stages of this race.
