The Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages of this race involving Godhead (GB), ridden by C.T

Keane, placed fourth, Mudawy, ridden by C.D. Hayes, placed second and Larado (FR), ridden by D.P. McDonogh, unplaced, where it appeared that Larado got tight for room and had to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. C. T. Keane stated that he had to sit and wait for the gap. C. D. Hayes stated that his mount has a tendency to go right but felt he was well clear. D. P. McDonogh stated that he pulled his mount out thinking he was going to run a big race but his mount did not take him forward. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted

The Stewards interviewed S. Foley, rider of Parkers Hill, concerning the fact that he appeared to move across before reaching the marker poles. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered evidence from the rider, the Stewards were satisfied that S. Foley was in breach of Rule 211 and having considered his previous record in this regard the Stewards suspended S. Foley for one raceday.
