CHASE (CLASS 1) (Grade 2) Having reviewed recordings of the false start, the Starters were satisfied that no riders should be reported for contravening the starting procedures.
The performance of Highest Sun (FR), which started favourite and finished fourth, was considered.
Colin Tizzard’s explanation that the gelding was never travelling and the rider further reported that Highest Sun (FR) jumped poorly on this occasion, was noted.
The gelding was routine tested.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Ardlethen (IRE), placed fifth, lost its right-fore shoe.
