Rounding the first bend, Token Trader (IRE), placed seventh, was badly hampered and lost a significant amount of ground when its rider was attempting to avoid Greta Bridge (GB), which pulled up quickly having gone amiss, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.

Approaching 2 furlongs out, Everyonelovesagrey (GB), unplaced, hung badly right-handed carrying Fashion Delight (USA), unplaced, wider off its intended line, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.

Elisha Whittington, the rider of Rita Rana (IRE), placed sixth, was unseated shortly after the finish line.

Whittington; Luke Morris, the rider of Major Gatsby (IRE), placed fifth, and Cieren Fallon, the rider of Smarden Flyer (IRE), placed third, were interviewed and shown recordings of the incident.

It was found that the incident was accidental and was caused by Smarden Flyer (IRE) edging marginally left before being quickly corrected, causing Major Gatsby (IRE) to edge left into the path of Rita Rana (IRE), causing both Major Gatsby (IRE) and Rita Rana (IRE) to become unbalanced, resulting in Whittington being unseated.

Following the race, Tyler Heard reported that Token Trader (IRE), placed seventh, was hampered by Greta Bridge (GB) which pulled up quickly in front of him and was also denied a clear run in the home straight; Martin Dwyer reported that Bella Caelia (GB), unplaced, was slowly away; Callum Rodriguez reported that Miss Wombleton (IRE), placed eighth, was slowly away and Charlie Bennett reported that Everyonelovesagrey (GB), unplaced, hung right under pressure and the Veterinary Officer reported that Greta Bridge (GB), which was pulled up, was lame on its right hind.
