Cam Hardie, the rider of Cavalryman (GB), drawn 9, was slow to remove the blindfold.
Hardie’s explanation that the blindfold had become stuck on the hood and did not release cleanly when he went to remove it, causing the gelding to be slowly away, was noted.
An enquiry was held to consider interference inside the final furlong when Blackcurrent (GB), placed fourth, ridden by Rowan Scott interfered with Iconicdaay (GB), unplaced, ridden by Jason Watson.
Scott was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he made insufficient effort to correct his mount from shifting right-handed when not clear of Iconicdaay (GB), forcing Watson to take a check.
