Jamie Hamilton, the rider of Mount Melleray (IRE), placed second, was suspended for 2 days for using his whip in the incorrect place approaching the line.
On the bend leaving the back straight, RIGHTPLACERIGHTTIME (IRE), placed fourth, lugged right causing the rider of Behindthelines (IRE), placed fifth, to take a slight check but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that there was no riding offence involved.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Coole Hall (IRE), placed third, and Behindthelines (IRE), placed fifth, lost their right fore shoe.
