He jumped well. He was very safe but he's not as quick through the air as the others. He had loads in the tank at the business end, he has plenty of ability. He's given us some great days and he's a highly-rated chaser. We were looking for a big run today and I think he delivered.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Valmy Baie (FR), trained by D.M. Christie, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be clinically abnormal post race. The Stewards interviewed Mr. Thomas Dreaper, authorised representative of J.T.R.Dreaper, trainer, concerning the fact that Grand Jesture refused to race. Evidence was heard from the authorised representative of the trainer concerned who stated that they have the horse just under a year, and have run him in a Point to Point once, where he jumped off at the start without any problems. This was his first run for them on the track, and he stated he intended bringing him back point to pointing in light of what happened today. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion J.T.R. Dreaper, was in breach of Rule 212 (b) and suspended Grand Jesture from running for 21 days. Mr J.J. Codd, rider of Grand Jesture, trained by J.T.R.Dreaper, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount refused to race. Mr B. O'Neill, rider of Valmy Baie (FR), trained by D.M. Christie, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount never travelled from flag fall.
A steeplechase for Certified Hunters five yrs old and upwards that have between 28th September, 2013 and 19th December, 2016 been placed either first, second, third or fourth in a Steeplechase confined to Certified Hunters in Ireland or in a Point-To-Point Steeplechase in Ireland and that have not won a *race since 1st March, 2016 other than Certified Hunters Steeplechases or Farmers Races
