The winner, Surrey Hope (USA), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Newbury on 6 August 2019 where the gelding finished ninth of ten runners, beaten by 21 lengths.
It was noted that Hughie Morrison could offer no explanation for Surrey Hope (USA)’s improved form.
An enquiry was held to consider the unruly behaviour of Narjes (GB) which had been reluctant to start.
Laura Mongan was interviewed and shown recordings of the incident.
As the filly had also been reluctant to race at Epsom on 18 July 2019, Mongan was informed that any future similar behaviour from Narjes (GB) may result in the filly being reported to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority.
Following the race, Robert Havlin reported that Narjes (GB), placed seventh, was slowly away.
