On the bend entering the back straight during the final circuit, Our Idic Boy (IRE), placed second, lugged right-handed despite the best efforts of its rider, causing Golden Glory (IRE), placed fourth, to lose its position when short of room on the rail, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Our Idic Boy (IRE).
Approaching the bend at the end of the back straight during the final circuit in a tightly packed field, a strong travelling Our Idic Boy (IRE), placed second, improved its position quickly into a legitimate gap between General Picton (IRE), which was later pulled up, and the winner, Art Of Diplomacy (GB).
A short distance later as they rounded the bend, Art Of Diplomacy (GB) was tightened for room against the rail and the rider of a weakening General Picton (IRE) had to take a check causing Sue Be It (IRE), placed seventh, which was following, to be hampered, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Our Idic Boy (IRE).
Following the race, Miss Brodie Hampson reported that Lough Derg Lyric (IRE), placed sixth, hung left-handed.
