An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference on the run to the line involving Mirage Mac (GB), placed second, ridden by Ben Curtis and the winner Bodroy (IRE), ridden by Luke Morris.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved Bodroy (IRE)’s placing as he had come from behind Mirage Mac (GB) prior to the interference occuring, and always appeared to be holding the filly thereafter.
In addition to this, Mirage Mac (GB) appeared to lose little momentum as a result of the interference.
Morris was cautioned for careless riding as despite Bodroy (IRE) having already shown a tendency to move away from the whip, Morris persisted in using his whip in his right-hand, causing his horse to shift left-handed and to bump Mirage Mac (GB).
Following the race, Thore Hammer Hansen reported that Host (IRE), placed third, ran too freely and Jonny Peate reported that his saddle slipped on Coupe De Champagne (GER), placed fourth.
