An enquiry was held to consider interference rounding the first bend involving Jupiter Express (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Adam Farragher and Spacer (IRE), placed fifth, ridden by Rossa Ryan.
Farragher was cautioned for careless riding as he had allowed his mount to drift left-handed towards the rail without being fully clear of a very free running Spacer (IRE), causing Ryan to steady in order to avoid his heels.
Rossa Ryan, the rider of Spacer (IRE), placed fifth, and beaten by a nose for fourth placing had appeared to ride less vigorously in the final strides of the race.
After being interviewed and shown recordings of the incident, Ryan was suspended for 2 days for failing to take all reasonable and permissible measures to obtain the best possible placing on a horse that could have finished fourth.
Following the race, Rossa Ryan reported that Spacer (IRE), placed fifth, ran too freely.
