The Stewards interviewed J.A. Heffernan, rider of Kyprios, concerning his use of the whip in latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that two of the strikes were for corrective purposes but accepted that he had used his whip excessively. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that J.A. Heffernan was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g)(frequency). Having taken his previous record in this regard and pursuant to R10.6(a), the Stewards suspended him for 6 racedays

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Isle Of Sark (USA), trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal
