Permission was given for Arenas Del Tiempo (GB) to be mounted on the course and go to post early wearing a red hood, for Rocha Do Leao (IRE) and Tashi (IRE) to wear a red hood to post and Market Value (IRE) wore ear plugs, which were removed at the start.
The winner, Flash Bardot (GB), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Bath on 6 September 2023, where the mare finished last of eight runners, beaten 5 ¾ lengths.
It was noted that Jack Channon’s representative could offer no explanation for the mare’s improvement in form.
Following the race, Tom Ward’s representative reported that Tashi (IRE), unplaced, was unsuited by the going, officially described as Soft and would prefer a quicker surface.
