The Stewards interviewed Conor Clarke, rider of Lord Mczie, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned,who stated he thought his mount was closing in on the front horses and was going to finish in the placings. He accepted that he was in breach of the Regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that Conor Clarke was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record, they suspended him for 1 raceday
D. McMonagle, rider of Baronial Pride (GB) trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount rolled around a little bit under pressure.
An extended handicap for three years old and upwards rated 45-70
Weights - Top weight in the original handicap and after the time of declaration shall not be less than 10st 2lbs and the minimum weight shall not be less than 8st 6lbs
