At Down Royal (finished sixth over ten furlongs) we felt he didn't stay. He travelled well until around a furlong and a half out and Gary (Carroll) said to drop him back,. This place is lucky for us and he got a lovely run through. He relished the trip and is very genuine. He's a nice big, scopey horse and will do a good job for someone else in October. The Stewards informed David Harry Kelly, trainer that Eadaoins Pet, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again. P.B. Beggy, rider of Clandestin trained by Dermot Anthony McLoughlin, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung throughout and was eased. The Stewards received a complaint from David Harry Kelly, trainer of Eadaoins Pet, withdrawn by the Starter for refusing to load, that his filly was not given a fair and equal chance to load before being withdrawn. Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned and from Mr J.R. Banahan, Turf Club Starter. Having viewed the attempted loading of Eadaoins Pet and considered the evidence, the Stewards referred the matter onto the Chief Executive of the Turf Club for further investigation.
