I’m delighted for the (Erindale) syndicate and that’s their first winner with us. They have been very patient. He’s in the sales at Goffs and I’m not sure if we can find something in the meantime or if they would like to keep him on. We’ve run him over a variety of trips and this was his first time over six. The Stewards requested a report from Kevin Prendergast, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Bears Hug, placed first, as compared with its most recent run. John O'Sullivan, authorised representative for the trainer concerned stated that his charge was badly drawn, slowly away and trapped out wide over seven furlongs last time out. He added that the horse broke much better today and the race went to suit him helping to bring about the apparent improvement in form.
