Permission was given for Achille (FR) to be mounted in the chute.
An enquiry was held to consider interference between the second last and last fences where the winner, Achille (FR), ridden by Hugh Nugent, drifted left-handed taking Strong Pursuit (IRE), placed third, ridden by Richard Johnson, marginally off its intended line.
Nugent was cautioned for careless riding as he had allowed his horse to drift left when not sufficiently clear.
Being a 7 lb claimer Hugh Nugent was offered to be accompanied in the enquiry but declined.
Tom Bellamy, the rider of Scotchtown (IRE), placed second, was suspended for 4 days for using his whip above the permitted level from approaching the second last fence.
Following the race the Veterinary Officer reported that Darius Des Bois (FR), which was pulled up, bled from the nose.
