He is a four-year-old now and is a very big horse who has now matured into his frame. . We couldn't run him until now because he has to have quick ground and we put him in this big handicap hoping the ground would dry out in time. . He quickened up well and I was standing on the stand thinking 'I can't believe this!'. I'm delighted for Maurice (Regan, of Newtown Anner Stud) and we have a couple of nice horses for him this year, so I hope they'll go on running like that. I'll talk to him about plans for this horse but because he likes quick ground, we might think about going to Ascot for one of the handicaps.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing involving Rahmi, ridden by D.E. Sheehy, placed second, Current Option, ridden by J.A. Powell, placed fourth, and Tosen Wish, ridden by R.P. Whelan placed fifth where it appeared that Tosen Wish ran short of room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. R.P. Whelan stated that he was out paced and lost his position as a result. J.A. Powell stated that his mount hung right despite his best efforts and he felt Rahmi was clear of him when drifting. D.E. Sheehy stated that his mount drifted right when running in open space, but felt he was clear and did not cause interference. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards did not apportion blame to any rider and took no further action
N.M. Crosse, rider of All Lies Ahead, trained by W. McCreery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right.
