Review galway 30th Aug
Ruby Walsh was stood down for the day following a fall at the first flight when seven horses crashed out in a dramatic Kenny Group Maiden Hurdle at Galway.
His mount Twenty Bags trained by James Leavy, was one of the sufferers after Dylans Secret fell in the race won by Golan Go
"He has a haematoma on his leg and is bruised and sore. He has been stood down for the day and will be assessed again in the next few days," said racecourse doctor Kevin Mulcahy.
Golan Go, ridden by Barry Geraghty, led at the fourth-last and went on to score by six lengths.
"It probably turned into a bad race," said trainer Paul Magnier.
"He's a nice little horse, but was a bit disappointing last time when I didn't want him so far back as he's a stayer being by Golan."
Conditional Declan Bates used his 7lb to good effect when riding the second winner of his career with an all-the-way success on Berkerys Treasure in the Galway City Vintners Handicap Hurdle.
"Seven pounds off 9st 10lb is a big help and it's hard to catch a front-runner," said trainer Philip Rothwell.
"Declan has only had his full conditional licence for the past week and was restricted to riding for me before that. He's going to be a top-class conditional."
